Champagne Doyard started to produce its own champagne in 1927 whereas they have been a winegrower family for 12 generations. The domain, that is today run by Yannick Doyard and his son Charles, is located on the best terroir of Côtes des blancs with plots in Vertus, Mesnisl-sur-Oger, Oger, Avize and Cramant. It owns also 1ha parcel in the best location of Ay where it grows pinot noir. The domain is highly focused on quality keeping the best juice (only 1st press) and selling the remaining to the big champagne brands. Even though not organic certified, viticulture uses no herbicide or pesticide and some principles of biodynamic regime are followed. Finally, Doyard who vinifies its wines in stainless vats and oak barels always leave the time to the wines to age a minimum of 4 years.
